Who We Are!
Our Chinese Mission (Chinese Bible Study Fellowship) was established in the 1980s and has faithfully served the Chinese community in and around Ruston for several decades. Our mission is to share the Gospel, build fellowship, and support one another in life and faith. Whether you are a student, a working professional, a family, or someone new to the area, you are welcome to join us.
We meet every Friday evening from 5:30–8:30 PM at the Walter’s Building.
Our weekly gathering includes:
5:30 PM – Dinner Fellowship – Enjoy home-made meals and warm conversations
Worship & Praise – Quiet our hearts through songs
Bible Study & Discussion – Explore God’s Word and life together
Childcare and Kids’ Activities – Safe and caring environment for children
In addition, we host special celebrations during major holidays, such as Mid-Autumn BBQ, Chinese New Year dumpling night, Christmas gatherings, and more. Our Chinese Mission is not only a place for spiritual growth, but also a warm and joyful community family. Here, you will find genuine friendship, meaningful sharing, and the hope found in Christ. Whether you already have faith or are simply curious about the Bible, we warmly invite you to journey with us—discovering truth, grace, and the love of a spiritual home. 我们的华人查经班成立于 上世纪80年代，至今已有数十年的历史。多年来，我们一直忠心服事 Ruston 当地及周边地区的华人群体，致力于传扬福音、建立团契、彼此帮助与扶持。无论你是留学生、工作人士、家庭父母，或是刚来到这里探索生活方向的新朋友，这里都欢迎你的到来。
我们每周五晚上 5:30–8:30 PM 在 Walter’s Building 聚会。
聚会内容包括：
5:30 晚餐团契 – 共享家常饭菜，彼此认识
诗歌敬拜 – 用赞美歌声安静心灵
圣经查经与讨论 – 一同学习真理、思考信仰与生活
儿童看护与儿童活动 – 让孩子们在安全、关爱的环境中成长

Chinese Minister
Chinese Minister: Dr. Xuan Liu
My name is Xuan Liu (刘炫), and I am from China. I am currently working at Louisiana Tech University. I first came to Ruston in 2011, where I completed both my Master’s and Ph.D. studies, and later continued to serve and work at the university. Over the years, this small town has become not only the place of my academic journey, but also a second home for my family.
I live here with my wife, Jiamin Yu (余嘉敏), and our son, Timmy (刘廷恩). In 2012, I was baptized and gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout these years, I have experienced God’s grace and guidance deeply, learning that faith is not only a personal hope but also a calling to serve others.
In our Chinese Mission, I have witnessed how many friends living far from home share the same longing—for truth, for belonging, and for direction in life. Because of this, I have a desire to serve, to grow together with brothers, sisters, and every new friend who comes, encouraging one another through God’s Word. Whether or not you already have a faith, I sincerely welcome you to join our Chinese Mission. May we, through Bible study, prayer, worship, and life sharing, experience together the peace, joy, and hope that come from God.
