First College exists to glorify God by helping students know and follow Jesus. Our vision is to see students’ lives
radically transformed by the Gospel.
Our mission as a ministry is to Engage the Campus with the Gospel, Equip Disciples for the Ministry, and Reach the Nations for Christ. In other words, we are passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and missions. We accomplish this mission through several different avenues: worship, community, outreach, and living on mission. At the end of the day, everything
we do is to bring God glory!
On a weekly basis during the school year, we offer multiple opportunities to get involved. On Wednesdays at 8 pm, we have Awaken which is our college worship service. On Thursdays at various times, we have small groups. On Sundays, most students attend the 9:45 worship service because at 11 we have our connection groups!

What are Connection Groups?
Connection Groups – Sundays @ 11:00 am
On Sunday mornings, we gather together in the Walter's Building, the building at the corner of South Monroe & West Louisiana, at 11:00 am for donuts, fellowship, and teaching. This time aims to equip college students with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in their faith. We offer 4-5 different classes during the school year on different topics and books of the Bible.
Over the Summer, we will be in one group studying through the books of Galatians and Colossians.

Do you offer any MID-week activities for college?
During the school year, we have Awaken, which is our college worship gathering on Wednesdays at 8. During the summer, we will have a midweek Bible study that meets at 7:15 at the Depot Coffeehouse! We would love for you to join us!

Do you offer small group settings?
Small groups - A focal point of our college ministry is our small groups. The goal of our small groups is to build community by discussing and applying the sermons from our Awaken worship service. We meet in gender-specific groups throughout the week, typically on Thursday nights. More information about group times will be coming soon!
