Who we are:

First College exists to glorify God by helping students know and follow Jesus. Our vision is to see students lives radically transformed by the gospel.

College is an extremely foundational time in a person’s life. Our desire at First College is to come alongside college students to help them develop into mature followers of Christ while also helping them discern God’s will for their lives both in the present and the future. We accomplish this goal through several different methods as listed in our mission statement: Gospel-centered worship, community, service, and outreach. This is all done to bring God the most glory.

What are Equip Groups?

Equip Groups – Sundays @ 11:00 am

On Sunday mornings we gather together in the Walter's Building, the building at the corner of South Monroe & West Louisiana, at 11:00 am for a time of food, fellowship, and teaching. This time aims to equip college students with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in their faith.

During the summer First College has a Bible study on Wednesday Nights. Join us in The Depot at 7:00 pm for a change in scenery and a great Bible study.

Check out our podcast, FBC Ruston College Ministry, on buzzsprout. From there you can listen to sermons or choose to listen on another media outlet: apple podcasts, google play, Spotify, etc.

How do we stay connected?

We communicate through a texting service. To join our group you can text firstcollege to 1-888-fbc-text (322-8398).

Do you offer small group settings?

A focal point of our college ministry is our small groups. The goal of our small groups is to build community by discussing and applying the sermons from our Awaken worship service. We meet in gender-specific groups throughout the week, typically on Monday or Thursday night. More information about group times will be coming in the Fall.
