Our vision is partnering with parents to lay the foundational truth of Proverbs 3:5-6 in the lives of our children by awakening them to the most important, life-changing decision they will ever make — asking Jesus Christ to be their personal Lord and Savior. We want to show the love of Jesus to every child God sends our way by pouring ourselves into them; believing that we are making eternal investments into the future leaders of our church, community, state, nation, and world.
Practical application of truth that helps kids win at every phase in their everyday lives. Kids need to know how it matters before it will matter. That’s why we connect insights and principles to a kid’s real world. They need to know what it looks like when someone reflects God’s image and follows Jesus.
Connection Groups @ 9:45 AM – 10:45 am on Sunday in the 1stkids building
Preschool - We have a class for every age (infant-Pre k4) and would love for your child to come and learn about the Bible while having a great time of fellowship and fun! We want to lead kids to Jesus. Providing fun Bible lessons and activities that help children apply Biblical truths to their daily lives, building relationships, and instilling God’s truths in tomorrow’s Church.
1stkids - An exciting time of fellowship in Bible-based, Jesus-centered, and child-focused groups that teach kids to better understand, connect, and apply the truth of God’s Word to their daily lives! Each week engages kids to follow Jesus through fresh, fun, and age-appropriate activities and relevant lessons.
Childcare & Kids Worship @ 8:30 and 11:00 am on Sundays in the 1stkids building
Preschool - Childcare is provided for Bed Babies - PreK4
1stkids - The story of God reveals the character of God. That’s why Kids Worship is organized around key Bible stories that help kids encounter Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. Every month present a new Life App to help children learn more about God’s character. Each Life App is unpacked through a weekly Bottom Line—a short phrase so easy to remember that it can be reinforced at home throughout the week. This is an awesome worship experience designed to provoke discovery and invite kids into a greater understanding of how to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Midweek Activities @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesdays in the 1stkids building
Preschool - First look is the curriculum that we currently use. Everything we teach our preschoolers is intended to meet them where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially. Through age-appropriate activities, our preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three simple, but powerful, truths: God Made Me; God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants To Be My Friend

First Ruston Weekday is a ministry designed for partnering with families in our community so that children have the greatest opportunity to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We will accomplish this by:
Our Weekday Program is offered during the summer, running from June 10 to August 21, Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day.
Our 1stkids ministers mainly communicate through our closed Facebook group and our weekly newsletter. You can gain access to either with the links below.
Our goal is for parents and their children to feel safe, loved, and to learn about Jesus in the most effective format for their age. Our 1stkids ministry uses an ID system to provide a safe and secure learning experience in our facility. Guest badges are also available. It’s a good idea to arrive 10 minutes earlier on your first visit to get your kids checked in at one of our check-in stations. We use the KidCheck program that allows you to download the app and create an account to start the process before you arrive.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
